e3 Dearborn Public Schools Employee News, Sept. 19, 2016

Hello!

The school year is well underway and so is another year of e3 — “Your Staff Newsletter.”  If you’re new to the District or, like many, been ignoring my e-mails for the past 17 years let me give you just a brief explanation of e3. (Aren’t you glad I didn’t say a brief explanation of my past 17 years in the district!!!!!).

e3 is a staff newsletter the Communications Office sends out via e-mail to all 2,300 staff members in the Dearborn Public Schools. I know, I know…e-mail? really? how 2002. What about a blog, google docs, or just telepathically imprinting the information into your brain. Well, we do have a blog http://communications.dearbornschools.org/ and many of the stories and informational items are posted there as well.

e3 features news and information about our students but we try to focus a little more on staff. (we use School Life to highlight our student accomplishments). e3 also contains important information on events going on in our community. Events that could be beneficial to you, your students, or just fun things to do.

We also feature classified ads in e3. Your chance to sell your junk, I mean items of value that you may no longer need.

Anyway, e3 is really about all of you so we encourage you to send items of interest to us via e-mail. You can send them directly to me, to Leslie Herrick, Communications Specialist, or to our newest member to the Communications team Sherry Candea, Communications Technician. (although you may want to give Sherry a few weeks as she has not technically started in our office yet.)

Enjoy this edition of e3. Just a few items in this edition include:
* Edsel Success
* First Day Pictures
* College Fair on September 20
* AAUW Book Sale this week
* Education Foundation Golf Outing, Sunday, Sept. 25
* Smoke on The Grill, Thursday, Sept. 29!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for reading,

David Mustonen
Director, Marketing & Public Relations, Dearborn Public Schools
